Newborn nappy rash can be caused by poor hygiene, eating too much acidity whilst breast feeding, not drying baby’s bum effectively and when teething.  My top tip for keeping bums dry is to use plain, non dyed kitchen towel to change you baby’s nappy on, then use it to blot dry once baby’s bum is washed and clean. Prevention instead of cure which always starts with a dry bum.  Nappy creams need only be used when  baby has nappy rash leaving the skin to breathe.

Nappies also vary in absorbency. If you go cheap then you might have to change your baby’s nappy twice as often to keep the little bum dry, not saving you money after all!
