July 5th 2023 marks the 5th anniversary of my first book release; 7pm to 7am Sleeping Baby Routine and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how it has been received, the success so far and of course ongoing feedback received from so many families that my book has helped and supported through the first months of becoming a parent.  It’s incredibly heart warming to hear all the success stories!

This book isn’t sleep training nor is the focus on sleep..confused?

My method was originally developed for managing newborn twins on a tandem routine almost 27 years ago and has been highly successful for achieving a full night sleep, as well as ironing out digestive issues, feeding problems for thousands of babies and of course supporting thousands of mothers to successfully breastfeed and achieve a full night sleep themselves.

As the saying goes, don’t judge a book by its cover! The 7pm to 7am Sleeping Baby Routine as a title may come over as a bit intense, maybe overwhelming for some or give the impression of being a strict routine of sleep training to gain a full night sleep. In fact the opposite is true! Besides you can’t sleep train a newborn, you can only meet their every need and ensure the right environment to promote sleep naturally. There are many variables to meet for your newborn to sleep well so it’s really understanding these key focus points.

The main and first focus point is on newborn digestion to support a calm, thriving content baby, this in itself has positive impact on sleep. This book is essentially a complete guide to the newborn stage and beyond.  A flexible, wholistic routine that looks at every aspect of your baby’s routine from feeding to sleep positions.

My book is also a complete guide to lactation and breastfeeding on a routine. Breastfeeding on a routine is very different to feeding on demand as is the advice surround it, my method helps mothers understand their breasts, personal milk supply and milk flow which is key to successfully feeding on a routine.  99% of the mothers I support breastfeed but my method is very much fed is best so there is a plan for everyone; breast, bottle or mix feeding. There is also the option to take the key aspects of the method and develop your own routine with a troubleshooting chapter to investigate and resolve routine hurdles.

I’m in the middle of writing my follow up book on sleep, routine and weaning from month four so do watch this space but in the meantime you can book a support call or package if you need help to progresses your routine onto the next stage.

You will find a copy of the 7pm to 7am Sleeping Baby Routine at all major book shops, Amazon, Kindle and of course here on my website.
